The Glass Mountains team

Established in 2001, Glass Mountains is a highly reputable WordPress design & support working with global clients.

We specialise in designing and supporting WordPress websites and have helped countless businesses & organisations significantly improve the effectiveness of their online presence, and their digital strategies – see some examples of our work.

Operating as a digitally distributed, fully remote agency for well over 7 years has helped us work successfully with clients from all over the globe (including many in the US).

I never recommend vendors to business associates out of fear that something will go wrong. However, that’s NOT the case with Glass Mountains. Joel and his team are true pros who understand business as well as they create amazing websites. Here’s the Glass Mountains secret… they listen to the client. My website should be as unique as my business, and Glass Mountains exceeded our expectations with a site that is able to handle lots of new traffic thanks to the best practices and business savvy they employed throughout the entire design process. These people get it! Highly recommended.

We have a team of ten Glass Mountaineers; offering a wide range of digital skills & expertise from WordPress design, development, to Google Analytics and more. Where needed, we can also recommend trusted partners to help clients with related services such as branding, copyrighting, photography etc.

Joel Hughes (Chief Mountaineer)

Glass Mountains was set up by Joel Hughes in 2001, who lives in the old Roman town of Caerleon, South Wales.

Joel started at an early age watching programmes such as Making The Most of the Micro and anything else that was even vaguely related to computers. He studied Computing at the University of Plymouth and obtained a 2:1 degree. He has an impressive 25+ years IT industry experience; working with blue-chip companies such as American Express, Royal Sun Alliance, British Airways. In the late 90’s he was working on OS/390 IBM mainframe computers but soon moved over to web technology; which looked like it had a bit of a future ;)

“Change is the only constant in the world of digital technology. We love the change and the challenge. And that’s why our clients trust Glass Mountains to help steer them through these choppy waters.”
